More Dotty for You

Another Dotty for You layout: The Sand page is almost exactly like the Surf page in the inspiration guide except...it says sand instead of surf, it says warms your toes instead of hang ten, and I used my scallop punch and circle punch, I also added a Flip Flap(Z1726) to add some more pictures and journaling, and finally I made a companion page. I am not much of a bling person but i thought the Sparkles Flourishes (Z1708) were reminiscent of the sparkling water and really made the layout. My CTMH Ruler (Z1471)made the stitching accent easy and precise. The simple look of these pages is very appealing and so different than the layout I posted yesterday though both were from the Dotty for You paper packet.

Studio J Helps Fight Depression

This week I was feeling depressed after returning from a trip to Seattle where I spent time with Daniel, Tiffany and Laura. Tom and I had time to relax and do a few Seattle things so of course I took pictures. I uploaded my pictures but the thought of cleaning up my space to start scrapbooking was overwhelming. Then I got the idea to do some Studio J layouts. The pictures of my loved ones lifted my spirits. Picking the layout components felt a bit like shopping, which can be good therapy. By the end of the week my depression had lifted quite a bit. I think I'm back on track and now I have something to look forward to - the arrival of my layouts. Instant gratification=jpegs! I was a winner and I didn't even know it!

You may have noticed a gap in my blog from about July 2012 until now…sometimes events in life knock you out of the game and that's just what happened to me. I am building a new life and I knew that when I started scrapbooking again this summer, I was on my way. So, I joined Close To My Heart again as an Independent Consultant. It felt so good to reconnect with my dear sweet upline Jillene Moen and our Loony Scrappers community.
